Rescuers make gripping discovery while searching waters after flood

After the devastating flood in Louisiana, in addition to the terrible human impact, there were many animals left misplaced as well. As you can see in the video, a kind man took his boat around and picked up some strays. As heartwarming as it is, there remains the question: what happens to them afterward?
Well, it's been a few months since the flooding, but there are still animals available. After many amazing volunteers had stepped in to rescue them, many more kind families needed to step in to give these precious little ones a home.
PETA alone rescued over 60 different animals, which are currently resting on the west coast. If you're interested in adopting one, check out their website for featured stories on the available animals!
125 animals ended up in Portland, Oregon, according to KGW, so if you're in the area, consider opening your heart to one (or more!) of these little ones.
Finally, even if you can't rescue a furry friend directly from the Louisiana flooding, you can always bring one in from your local shelter. According to the ASPCA, over 7 million animals enter shelters each year - you could make all the difference in the world to just one animal.
We hope that this video warmed your heart, and that these brave men inspired you to do something kind for someone! Please share this video with your family and friends, you never know who might be ready to rescue their next furry companion.
